(More customer reviews)I'm very sensitive to any medications or supplements that contain ingredients that create jittery feelings, so I was eager to try this product. As the product description states, it is made from a potato extract that works to creates feelings of satiety so you eat less. After trying it before a few meals, I have to say that it definitely works!
The directions state to take one pill about 60 minutes before your two largest meals, with a full glass of water. Through some experimentation, I found that taking the supplement a full one hour before meals really does work best; if I wait and take it 30 minutes or less before eating, I don't notice that I eat considerably less. So if you decide to take this, be sure to leave yourself that one-hour window beforehand!
Another bonus about this product is that it doesn't contain fiber. When I was briefly following the meal plan featured in the book _Women's Health Perfect Body Diet_, the plan's author recommended taking a fiber supplement that left me feeling bloated. The Slendesta tablets do not have this same effect.
The only reason I knocked off one star is because the price seems to be high. I will also try to update my review after using these a bit longer to see what the longer-term effects are.

It isnt a miracle pill that will make you lose all of your appetite but it does good for someone who is willing to put some effort into eating less. Overall I think its a great product and the free shipping on Amazon makes it worth buying here over the products website.

If you read Dr. Perricones book, also available here on Amazon, you will be amazed at the amount of research he went into to come up with the solution to what I call sub-cellular inflammation. This is not poppy-cock, there is actually a medical test for the presence of this condition, but most medical clinics don't have it available because the medical community is just now waking up to the importance of nutrition and endocrine system in keeping ones health and weight under control naturally.
I've lost 30 pounds with Nutri-system, and it seems anyone can do that, if you need to lose more you will need this relatively simple program, and cardiovascular work outs, of course to loose the rest of the weight. I was as high as 675 lbs. at one point in my life, and just couldn't keep my weight from going into harmonics. I found out I had sleep apnea, and after curing that with a CPAP, I had a lot of weight to lose. Just getting the CPAP helped me lose down to 535 lbs. Nutri=system got me to 500, but it is going to take Perricone's plan and some work changing what I eat to lose further than the 460 lbs. I was at before my last sickness. My exercise plan and being faithful to the weight management supplements has given me hope of finally conquering my weight log-jam.
If you live in the sticks it can be hard to find the type foods Dr. Perricone recommends for his simple 3-step plan; but it can be done. I don't feel like I need to starve on his suggested diet; I feel like I eat plenty. I take in at least 1600 calories, but who's counting? If you take the supplements religiously, the battle is half won!
I have old and new scars trying to grow new skin, and I had a serious colonic polyp that was at least 1" a half in diameter, and bugged me for at least 15 years, that is now seemingly gone. My weight harmonics are gone, I only have DOWN to go with my weight now! I no longer get lower colonic cramps like I did since I was a kid, my blood sugar used to go low on me once and a while, and this is no longer the problem it once was. Blood pressure 120 over 58! I just notice something a little better each day!!
Give your self a fighting chance and try this system! If you can't afford the pills you can buy them elsewhere for more economical prices, but his formula is the best, I think. If nothing else, at least buy his super anti-oxidant. I notice cancer doctors are now copying this type of formula for their patients in helping to fight cancer, but I suspect none of them has been on the bleeding edge of science like Dr. Perricone has! Reading his book, "The Perricone Weight Loss Diet - (A simple 3-part plan)", will help you go a long way into understanding what is in the science of his management system, and how nature makes the your digestion and energy consumption system work. He goes into depth about the high science of what I call endocrinology, and the nutritional balance.
Kroger Grocery stores do a lot to help find nutritious foods made of the right stuff; and they don't charge you an arm and a leg, and call it "Health Food". So if you have one of those in your neighborhood, you can get a jump on the starting line!
I work for no person or company, I just want folks to have the same chance I do to find hope in the weight loss arena!

(More customer reviews)I didn't actually buy from Amazon. I bought Zantrex 3 from Walgreens, but I just wanted to give a review for this product. It is LOADED with CAFFEINE. I took 1 or 2 capsules 5-10 minutes before my workouts and they were explosive. I would stay at the gym for 2-4 hours (doing cardio) and I wouldn't get tired. I didn't get the jitters because I was working out and using all the extra caffeine that was in my body. It is true that caffeine boosts the metabolism, but don't use this unless you are working out because you will get the jitters and nausea. I found that if I waited too long to work out after taking the 2 capsules (20-30+ minutes) I would get the jitters as well as become nauseated and my workouts wouldn't be as charged up. As far as sleeping goes, if I worked out enough, then I could fall asleep with little to no problem, but if I wanted to, I could stay awake. But if you take the pill and don't workout, you will most likely have troubles with sleeping. Always take capsules with something on your stomach, or you might feel a bit nauseated. I eat a clif bar a few minutes before I take the capsules and I'm good to go(No nausea or throwing up from working out), but any power/workout specific bar will do. Always drink plenty of water with or without this product especially if you are working out. Staying hydrated will help you burn fat. If you know how to eat right and exercise, you will lose weight. Unfortunately there is no miracle pill that will magically make the fat disappear without exercise and proper nutrition.Zantrex 3 is like Viagra for my workouts. If I am too tired to work out (after a hard day of school and work),Zaxtrex 3 is my little blue motivational pill. Literally the stuff is motivation in a bottle. I have recommended it to several friends.

(More customer reviews)I started taking this brand of CLA in July of 2008. I had had a son in November of 2007 and was still struggling to lose the last 15 lb's of baby-weight that I had gained. I didn't take the recommended dose because I knew I didn't have too much weight to lose, I took 2 softgels before lunch (typically my largest meal of the day) and then one before dinner. I noticed, probably, in about two-three weeks that my pants were fitting more loose. I took it for about 3 months. I think I was on it a little too long because I did get too skinny. I just ordered another bottle and will probably only take one softgel before lunch and dinner and will be a lot more careful as to not lose as much as I did the last time. Since then I had kept most of the weight off, but now that I am a stay-at-home mom to a 2-year-old, I have noticed my jeans are starting to get a little tight (it's hard to be active in the winter) so I have started up a good exercise and diet plan and will throw in the Now brand CLA. I know it won't be long until I get back to where I want to be. Bottom line: If you take the CLA consistently/faithfully, watch what you eat, and exercise, it won't be long until you start to see the pounds melt away.
