A colleague recommended the Emergen-C products to me as a way of staying healthy when working crazy hours. She is a college professor and said that the vitamin packets helped her get through the toughest part of her semester without getting sick.
The Heart Health combination looked like a good one for me because it provides a lot of basic supplements including some extra Vitamin C.

(More customer reviews)I love this vitamin C! It's the only one I have found that is totally plant sourced and not from ascorbic acid that is made from heating corn starch. All of the acerola powders I have bought have added maltodextrin too, which this C doesn't have. Love that too. It is easy on the stomach too, which I can't say for most of the ascorbic acid products I've bought, buffered or not. I hope they never stop making this stuff!

(More customer reviews)A couple of weeks ago I started to feel a cold coming on - sore throat, aches, etc. I took two packets of this product (a few hours apart to improve absorption) and the symptoms went away by the end of the day. The taste is okay - it is similar to cranberry juice but sweeter, and is flatter than the orange fizzy Emergen-C. If you require a multivitamin with minerals, I would suggest not substituting this item for "regular" vitamins - it is not very complete, and the nutrients are in varying amounts.

If I'm already sick, I take this and the cold goes away faster. It tastes pretty good. You can make hot or cold drinks with it. I've only tried it cold and it's not grainy or gross at all. It's been a subtle disappointment to me that Halls insists on doing vitamin c in assortments of lemon, grapefruit and orange, so the odds are always stacked against me.
Finally, I can have the Vitamin C I want and the orange flavor I prefer. And believe me these taste great as gummies in their own right. Quite apart from "tasting great for a vitamin," this is only healthy treat that could be sold on its taste alone.
