I was using this shake before and then found that it was discontinued in the stores.I had such amazing results, I had to get it, and sure enough, I found it on Amazon!
After a week of using this I was able to see more definition. I am not overweight, but I am not "thin" either. When I started drinking the shakes and working out I was 132 lbs, now I am 126 lbs with some definition in(2.5 weeks).
I will say that you should work out 6 days while using this.If you drink this and do not exercise, you will become fat.

(More customer reviews)I got my first package right around the time the Nov 27th review was placed. It is true that they aren't very good straight out of the package. However, I noticed that on the outside (bottom) of some of the package it says "Microwaveable for 10-20 seconds". When I microwaved them, I discovered that the heat somehow brings out their natural sweetness, and from that point on, I actually looked forward to my morning snack!!! The blueberry, oatmeal-raising, and chocolate chip all tasted wonderful when heated. The cranberry muffins couldn't be helped for anything...they tasted like dog food warm or cold. But that is why I purchased this variety pack--so I could decide for myself! I actually just logged on here to purchase larger portions of the cookies....no more cranberry for me though!
BTW--If I microwaved my cookie for more than 12 seconds in my microwave, I noticed it burnt a little on the inside....and they seem to turn out better when I put a cup of wather in with them.

(More customer reviews)I initially heard about the cookies diets in a health magazine and decided to give it a try. I started by getting a sample pack of the Smart for Life and the Hollywood cookie diet and tried each for a few days. I definately preferred the Smart for Life brand cookies. They seem to control your hunger much better than the Hollywood Diet cookies. There wasn't much to them. In fact I found it easy to only eat 4 cookies from morning to dinner time so that really cuts down on the cost of the program.
I also prefer the cookies over the shakes and pudding that are available. I read several reviews from people complaining about the taste which I find a little humorous. Yeah they don't taste like rich buttery cookies but this is a diet. If you aren't willing to make some sacrafices in what you eat no diet will work for you. The cookies do have a unique texture and will take a few days to get used to but I actually look forward to them now and like the taste. The chocolate ones are very good when heated in the microwave. Very much like a soft brownie.
Bottom line, I lost 25 pounds in less than 2 months. I now only eat the cookies a few times a week and eat sensible meals the other days. I have not gained a pound back.

(More customer reviews)First let me say, I have a high tolerance for eating food that doesn't taste great when I am on a mission to lose weight. I really wanted to like these cookies, because I appreciated what the creater of those cookies said on her website about making them taste better and priced cheaper than other similar cookies. Oh Boy...sad to say, this is the first diet product that I have absolutely been unable to stomach. Prior to purchasing the R & D cookies, I had purchased a 1 week supply of Dr. Siegal's cookies. They were edible but I had read reviews about the taste of the R & D cookies on their website so I ordered 4 days worth because I thought it would be even better for me if these tasted better than the Dr. Siegal cookies as the R & D cookies were much cheaper.
The R & D Cookies arrived very quickly. Packaged in baggies (as expected). They looked tasty. I anxiously opened the bag of the peanut butter flavor and smelled the cookie. I immediately noticed it smelled like vitamins. I bit into it and chewed and chewed. The first bit was okay. By the third bit the aftertaste of the artificial sweetner and vitamin taste kicked in and it progressively went downhill after that. I forced myself through it and thought "I can handle anything" and figured I would try it again later. After all, I had 23 more cookies to eat. I then tried the chocolate flavor. I gagged and half way through it, put the cookie down and tried to flush what was in my throat down with flavored water. Thirty minutes later I came back into the kitchen and laughed when I realized there was still half a cookie left waiting on me. I couldn't do it.
It took me half a day of eating other foods to try to remove the memory of those cookies from my mouth and mind. I hate wasting money (times are tight here), but I had to throw the remaining 22 cookies out (My husband tasted them too and agreed they had to go). I am now back on the Dr. Siegal cookies, and although clearly not delicious, they are edibile. And, although they are more expensive, what good is it to be cheaper if I can't eat it? Sorry R & D Cookies, I really wanted to like you. Yolanda

-There's only like 1 g of sugar.

8-7-10 I sat at 380 LBS and even at 6,6 it wasn't pretty...I had a 56 inch waist and backpain that cost me over $1500 most of that Summer. IT WAS TIME TO TAKE CONTROL!
These cookies are great!
8-29-10 As of right now I've lost 26 LBS and about 3 inches from my waist.
Real quick I'll lay out what I'm doing...
7 AM Breakfast Egg whites with 3 strips of Turkey bacon wrapped in a "Flat out" TM*
Over the next couple of hours { 2 and 1/2 but never 3 hours } I space in a quick 4 to 5 minutes sometimes less for a Cookie and 16 oz of water
By 5:45 - 6:15 PM Somewhere in there I have: 2 "Flat outs" TM* and 12 oz of Turkey Or Chicken or Shellfish or just fish with a few veggies on the side.
Around 9PM or so I have a 6th or 7th Cookie.
BED by 10:30 PM
Folks I've tried many many things BUT This is it! My Goal is to get back to around 240 or less...I'll let my body tell me when I'm there BUT You have to try this stuff.
P.S. I'll keep this updated so you guys can see that these things are still working...Hope you give these a shot :)

UPDATE: 10-6-2010 It was 60 days today and I've lost 52 pounds! Almost 7 inches from my waist. I've stonger in my weight training and my time in the pool in less than 9 weeks is great. This product is the best you will ever find for COST AND THAT IT WORKS. This past summer I lost 15 pounds maybe 20 with eDiets Food was great BUT { Hope your sitting down } 1 month with them cost me nearly $500. I have 9 more weeks of these cookies in my home and spent less than $300. You have to try these folks and just think of it like this...Do they taste good? How's it carrying that extra 50, 60 or whatever weight you need to lose.
Good Luck on what ever you set out to try I know that losing weight is hardest thing most of us ever do...I've found what I know will work for me.
